Prosthodontics is the specialised field of dentistry that uses prosthetic dental restorations for tooth replacement to repair damage and a variety of other dental related issues. Prosthodontic treatments can’t be performed by a regular dentist, they must be performed by a registered specialist prosthodontist.

OUR PROSTHODONTIST TEAM

At Manningham Dental Services, we have two registered specialist prosthodontists on our team, Dr Boris Cherkasski and Dr Gurika Sud. Our prosthodontists are experienced professionals in terms of their degrees and real-life experience and are held in high regard in the field of dentistry.

Our principal prosthodontist, Dr Boris Cherkasski, has a Master’s Degree from the Melbourne University. He is also a member of the Australian Dentist Association, was a past President of the Australasian Osseointegration Society (VIC), and is a full member of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontics.

Our other prosthodontist, Dr Gurika Sud, has received her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne and is a registered specialist prosthodontist. She is a committee member of the Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS VIC branch) and a member of Australian Prosthodontic Society. She is also an examiner for the Australian Dental Council and President of her local ADA (Australian Dental Association) group. Furthermore, she is a regular continuing professional development program lecturer.
